Our Illustrious Home Secretary
Tim Worstall on Charles Clarke and compensation [or the lack of] for victims of Miscarriages of Justice.
Charles Clarke should be hung from the nearest lamp pole, assuming we can find one to bear the weight of the fat fucker, the assembled political parties forced to watch as he tap dances on air and happy children gambol at his feet.
If we as a society get things wrong and imprison the innocent it is our duty, as that very society, to both say sorry and to compensate them as best we can. What we offer can only ever be inadequate but to deny this moral fact, to save the price of MP's pork pies?
You fuck Clarke...
The Jug Eared Twat himself is appearing on Question Time tonight, 10.30pm BBC1.
Is there anybody out there with either time, or respect for this man?
I read the news and get so
I read the news and get so depressed and frustrated. Then I read a blog like this - it's like therapy. It's not just me that detests the Bliar mafia - I am not alone. Thank god for blogs. Blogs will save the world. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
This is two things:
This is two things:
1) In Blur-Blur Land: a righteous attack on behalf of us law-abiding nice people on "something for nothing" scroungers. The Govt know we're all pissed off, our lives are going down the tubes, we're working our arses off for nothing, and so they're looking everywhere for people who receive money from the Government, so that they can parade them in front of us and invite us to chuck mud at them.
But they're very selective about who they choose.
Not property developers; not merchant banks; not PFI-buccaneers. Not the consultants and big IT companies who are going to be showered with beween £1 BILLION and £1.9 BILLION over the next 10 years to set up an ID cards scheme nobody wants (once they find out exactly what it involves).
No, they pick on asylum-seekers, people on benefits and shaken people emerging out of unjust imprisonment and trying to work out what the hell just happened. People who can't fight back.
The lesson: all you have to do to be a target is to receive money from the Government, and be unable to fight back. The justice of your claim on the Government is irrelevant.
2) In Reality: An "asbestosis claim escape plan" for the Govt. Having thoroughly obfuscated the law, with their Criminal Justice Act, Terrorism Act, Harassment legislation aimed at protestors, control orders, asbos....etc ad nauseam, the Government know damn well that they're going to end up locking innocent people up. They also know that thanks to campaigns from civil society (which they haven't managed to make illegal yet) some of these innocent people are going to have their convictions overturned.
Tim Worstall is right to point out that the £5m this will "save" is peanuts: but given the Government's attitude to civil liberties, this £5m is likely to grow and grow. This, of course will represent an "unacceptable inefficiency", and so the Government's trying to get rid of it. Jug-Eared Twat's proposal is like an alcoholic legislating himself free drinks.
BASTARDS!

8 weeks ago my brother-in-law had a cold and sore head.By the end of the first week he was also vomiting. He went to the doctors who gave him pain killers.Come back in a week if you are not any better.
He went back in a week not any better.
One night two weeks on into his ailment he took a turn for the worse. My sister phoned an ambulance. It took two hours to arrive.Once in the hospital he was told there were no beds and no specialist to see him. They sent him home. They told him to come back in a week. They went back in a week Joe still having sore heads and vomiting. They gave him a scan(not MRI)CT scan I think, which showed nothing.
He spent the next few weeks off work sore heads and vomitting persisting. His eyesight started to play up.Back to the doctors.Conjuctivitis.
7 weeks later he is not any better. So they made an appointment with another doctor. He carried out some simple tests which found his short trem memory was affected he also struggled with some simple arithmetic problems. He is to go for an MRI scan as soom as poss.My sister told me that Joe had started hallucinating.A right fuck up eh??
I live in Germany and have done for the past 10 years. You would have been in hospital for an MRI scan immediately with such symptoms.
Moral of the tale??

For the first time EVER I
For the first time EVER I simply could not bring myself to watch Question Time - the sight of that santimonious fat twat spouting his new labour, fascist bullshit was just too much to bear ... and we all thought that no-one could possibly be worse than shagger Blunkett - how wrong we were.
Here's a plan - we need one suitably sized nymphomaniac (he/she'll need to be for this task) that voted labour in 2005. As a penance, and to save the country, he/she must seduce jug-ears and draw him into the most depraved orgy of sexual excess imaginable and get it all down on film ...... any takers ??? PLEASE .........
Tim Worstall has written an

yes, there is a pattern here
Howard, Straw, Blunkett and then Clarke - each getting even more authoritarian than the previous. It is hard to imagine what is going to be next.
