May Elections - The View From Fantasy Island

If anyone doubts that Tony and his inner circle are full-time residents of Fantasy Island, yesterday's Prime Ministers' Questions put that to rest.

David Cameron waved a confidential briefing paper he'd been leaked from Downing St's Planning Committee that had an interesting take on why Labour had done so badly at the May elections:

People were angry with Tony because they love him so much and they are angry because they think he might go

Yeah, right.

A number of cliches come to

A number of cliches come to mind;

You always hurt the one you love

Tough love - or should it be, tough, love

And of course, the Monty Python classic, Always look on the bright side

If you love somebody....let

If you love somebody....let them go

But TB is 10x the politician

But TB is 10x the politician that GordEnron is. If Labour Nouveau are in trouble now, it can only get worse by getting rid of TB. GB has somewhat of a presentational problem in that he looks Old Labour and is Scottish and will send the middle ground shivering into DC's welcoming arms.

It's not so much Fantasy

It's not so much Fantasy Island as Lost, with the dramatic effect from all those unresolved plotlines.

LOL at Tough, love!

LOL at Tough, love!
Put me in mind of the slogan: Your family better (****) off.
