Intelligence in Action
Posted June 14th, 2006 by quarsan
The press conference given by Mohammed Abdul Kahar and Abul Koyair was a disturbing and uncomfortable sight. I found them to be very credible and if their claims are true then there need to be some major changes in policing and the use of 'intelligence'.
Also the brothers gave a surreal example of how unintelligent the aquisition of intelligence can be:
The police asked them if they were members of the Ku Klux Klan.
I agree. They seemed very
I agree. They seemed very credible indeed. And what bad luck by the police. Not only do you shoot a Muslim, but you shoot one who was planning to become a CSO. Bummer.
Request for a fact. Media

Media report menitoned one bruv as a time-served con. Was this true or not?
NOT true, according to
NOT true, according to yesterday's press conference...
As far as I know neither
As far as I know neither Mohammed Abdul Kahar nor Abul Koyair have criminal records. The Sun and the Daily Mail, in a nasty effort to smear the two men were quick to point out that they have an older brother (a half brother with a different father), Mohammed Abdullah Hasnath who was demonstrating against those offensive Danish cartoons in February while on day release from Springhill Prison, Bucks where he is allegedly serving time for armed robbery and firearms offences. This has nothing at all to do with Mohammed Abdul Kahar and Abul Koyair. Bloggerheads has more.

The op. was clearly a cock up but who of you would like to be one of the crew who gives 'the knock' to a house where you think the bad guys are holed up? Remember what happened here:

EDW, your example does not
EDW, your example does not seem a good one ? THESE guys were asleep. Fast action would have the cops UP the stairs before they knew what was happening ?
I still don't know if they were kitted up for BioWar, anybody know ?
Latest smear (which must
Latest smear (which must again come from the police) is that they had £38,000 in their bedroom. Proof of guilt there, don't these people realise they're supposed to be poor? Bang 'em up.
Quite how far £38,000 would go in chemical weapons development is a bit unclear - the Aum Shinryko boys spent many times that and still didn't come up with the kind of mass casualty weapon that the papers here have been scaring us with.
