This woman is barking- totally barking... And the horrible things she says. What a truly despicable waste of space.

I watched Ann Coulter on Newsnight too. I think Paxman's expression was identical to mine when I heard the ridiculous crap she spouting. It was very funny. The only depressing thing is that so many people take her seriously across the pond.

Interesting that the reaction on Guido is completely different - rather a lot of Coulter fans and Paxman anti-fans there.

David - that thread on Guido's is astonishing! I didn't think there was anyone outside the US who doesn't see Coulter as a Swivel Eyed Loon... What was Paxo supposed to do, take her seriously! It was the fact he didn't even bother to engage that made me laugh.

I get the fact some people have a problem with Paxman being a 'liberal' - but I fail to see how anyone could see Ann Coulter as in any way representative of 'the Right'! To assume Paxman was trounced by her is to give credence to her insane babble.

I thought Paxo took the only possible course of action any interviewer could when faced with her - he mildly took the piss. That people think he could have had a reasoned debate, or interview with her based on the gibberish she spouts I find baffling.

It would like accepting the premise that the earth was flat before discussing before discussing geography with a 'flat earther'.

Their stock in trade is ritual defamation of those who disagree with them with negative name calling and dismiss all substance of disagreement and evidence contrary to their fantastic claims be damned. Hmm - I`ve heard that her divorced husband thinks that her public persona and pronouncements are all sham. But in any case, the only way to deal with such a bonkers worldview is to go along with them, hand them plenty of rope and see how far off into the realm of nuttiness they`re willing to leap! Always a crowd-pleaser!

these types are propped up by mass buyings by political fringe groups (like the republicans) who then give those books away at political or even church events.

It's the first time I've ever seen this Paxman character (Is thet his real name or is there some tie-in with the game?), I just loved his accent. It sounds so armchair, holier than thou, liberal British, though I'm sure he's driving a SUV to work (He really does require it for his job and they are quite the fashion, you know.). Anyway.....

Which universe are you from? Bizarro? We just happen to live on terra firma and think Bizarro logic to be somewhat stupid and divorced from terran reality.

Ann Coulter is right in most of the things she says, and only the fact that most of the people here in Britain are brainwashed by a left wing run BBC and largely left wing press prevents you from seeing that.

We have consistently lied to about a number of issues by the media, such as the myth that straight people are just as likely to get Aids from sex as gays, when in fact less than 2% of infections occur to heterosexuals, or the so called fact that embryonic stem cells will result in medical breakthroughs, when in fact all the stem cell breakthroughs that have happened have come from the use of peoples own stem cells taken from hair follicles or elsewhere.

All of this stems from the political biases of the media which is on a mission to promote the left wing creed of defending sexual deviants and killing embryonic human beings, if you want to swallow it thats your business but at least people like Ann Coulter give you the chance to see the crap for what it is.

Did you watch the clip??? Ann wiped the floor with Paxman, who must not have watched any other of Ann's interviews as he repeated the question, do you believe what you wrote, that she has answered many times. I have never seen Paxman or heard of him, but he came off as somewhat of a dolt.
