Dangerous consequences of the US Military dramatically lowering their standards as they try to maintain cannon fodder recruitment levels are in the air as Neo-Nazi's and street gangs are signing up as fast as they can.
The Southern Poverty Law Centre has just issued a report on Neo-Nazi infiltration of the US Army.
... "Recruiters are knowingly allowing neo-Nazis and white supremacists to join the armed forces, and commanders don't remove them from the military even after we positively identify them as extremists or gang members," said Department of Defense investigator Barfield.
"Last year, for the first time, they didn't make their recruiting goals. They don't want to start making a big deal again about neo-Nazis in the military, because then parents who are already worried about their kids signing up and dying in Iraq are going to be even more reluctant about their kids enlisting if they feel they'll be exposed to gangs and white supremacists."
Meanwhile LA gangs are infiltrating the US Military and Chicago gangs are claiming their turf in Iraq.

What else are we to expect when the White house is under the control of the "Christian Democrat" movement? I am sure that Cheney and Bush are delighted that good, honest, god fearing clan are signing up to kill the evil unbelievers.

Osama bin Laden does, certainly, and keeps referring to the various coalitions as 'crusaders', knowing that this is a dog-whistle for many people. It would be nice, just once, if our leaders didn't do exactly what the bearded loon wants them to do. I'm not sure if he's a signed-up Republican, but he certainly wouldn't be out of place - religious, conservative, addicted to mass killing, expert at media manipulation...
Incidentally, if the US is really having difficulty recruiting more simpletons to the colours, this is good news for Iran, given that you couldn't hope to do anything serious there with fewer than 500,000 pairs of boots on the ground. Ahmedinijad presumably knows Bush is bluffing about military action and regime change.
