Gorgeous George on Extradition

An excellent speech by Gorgeous George Galloway (G3) in the 'Extradition Treaty' debate.
He compared the UK Government/US Government relationship to that of Lewinsky/Clinton - absolutely hilarious.
Love him or loathe him, G3's the best orator we've got just now.
Damn straight; the funny
Damn straight; the funny thing is that his politics are as far from mine as it's possible to be, yet I often find myself nodding in agreement when he makes some obvious point of fairness. His duffing up of the US Senate committee was absolutely marvellous; a British MP showing the Yanks how the English language can, and should, be used. We need more speakers like George.
We now have all that is
We now have all that is required for the previously absurd and comically inept such as Boris Johnson and George Galloway to seem astute and fair.
When the majority of the house (new Labour) succeed in moving the 'normal' and usual into the realms previously reserved for Private Eye lampoonery, by contrast those individuals who were previously viewed as either extreme or laughable will by definiton seem to be the voice of reason.
When Boris - never grew out of private school - Johnson can be held up an an example of reason and social conscience we know that the ruling party are beyond redemption.
What should concern us now, rather than 'how quickly can we rid the country of the paranoid megalomaniac Blair' is 'how do we avoid the backlash giving us another decade of evil like Thatcher'.
Just as the 'New Labour' honeymoon rapidly evaporated when we realised they were about as socialist as Barclays De Zoete Wedd I fear we may vote in something just as evil as the pendulum swings back.
