A Mild Rebuke?

The spin of the last few days was that the commons standards committee was to only issue a 'mild rebuke' to Prescott for declaring his stay at the Ranch of Philip Anschutz 11 months late [ie when we found out about it].

This turns out to not be strictly true [ie more spin and lies], as they have referred to the fact that as a minister, he may well be in breach of the Ministerial Code, with fairly trenchant criticisms of him personally, his office and his department. Not a bit of it, according to Downing St there is nothing left to discuss, everything has been resolved...

Meanwhile, ITN news are reporting that Labour Party officials are drawing up two programmes for the September conference - one with Prescott included, the other without...

Mr. Blair must be getting so

Mr. Blair must be getting so tired of drawing all those lines and moving on.

This is yet more proof that under NuLabour the 'Ministerial Code' is simply not worth the disk-space it is filed on.
