Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

It's finally dawned on the PM that pretty much the entire non neo-con population of Planet Earth is horrified by his Middle East tactics. Naturally Tony has considered the matter carefully and has come to the usual conclusion:

I'm right and everybody else is wrong. Bless him, he's going to give a press conference and explain to us lesser minds that we really do support him but we've all misunderstood him. Even Ann Clwyd is criticising him, and when that happens he really has few friends left.

His hubris is turning to nemesis. It's all coming back to haunt him, the things he was warned of and ignored because he is, and always will be, convinced that only he has the answers. That's the really frightening thing. It's not that he is Bush's poodle, but that he really believes all this neo-messianic rubbish.

Under Blair's watch Britain's influence in the world has declined until we're sidelined and marginalised. The EU are carrying on without us, indeed after the disaster of the last British Presidency, where Blair started off with his usual high moral ground and snake oil, we were saved from disaster at the last minuite by the German President, who finally hammered out a deal that cost the UK 20 billion quid... for nothing in return!

The comments from the UN show that they also feel our contributions are worse than useless. All of the mutterings and behind the scenes stuff can be boiled down to a pithy phrase: World to Tony Blair 'Sit down and shut up'.

We once had a majestic Foreign Office, now it's run from a caraven in Derbyshire. We once had influence, now we're at best an inconvenience. As Blair's Middle East fantasy world collapses, so does our diplomacy.

But will the supine Labour Party do anything about it? Will they, just once, put the nation's interests above their party leaders?

Throughout the blog world, Labour bloggers have been virtually silent, with nothing to say, even over at Bullshitters 4 Blair. To all intents and purposes, the Labour Party is a dead parrot. Unable to defend itself, unable to stand up for itself and undeserving of support.

Hopefully after Yates of the

Hopefully after Yates of the Yard has finished with TB, we may see TB and his cronies indicted over in the Hague.

I'm sorry to keep babbling

I'm sorry to keep babbling on about it, but for the last three years I keep coming back to Nye Bevan's statement about Anthony Eden during the Suez Crisis, often paraphrased as "If he is lying then he is too wicked to be Prime Minister, if he is sincere in what he is saying then he is too stupid to be Prime Minister." Equally applicable to Tony Blair.

Not babbling, spot on!

Not babbling, spot on!

I recently watched the BBC

I recently watched the BBC documentary about Thatcher's Broadcast Ban on the IRA et al which opened with a quote from the rusty bag herself. The quote seems to say that neither the BBC nor ITN should broadcast anything Tony Blair or George Bush say.
"The BBC in my view ... Should never show things which help anyone who wishes to further their cause by the use of violence."
So, nice and simple then, we just ask the Beeb to go back to the broadcast ban and we never have to Tony's wheedling whining lying voice again...

"To all intents and

"To all intents and purposes, the Labour Party is a dead parrot. Unable to defend itself, unable to stand up for itself and undeserving of support."

I do thnk that we have to be more specific here .... it is 'NuLabor' that is dead as a parrot. I honestly believe that the 'grass-roots' labour membership is still there, but keeping their heads down, embarrassed at the messianic pronouncements and fascistic policies of their dictatorial leader. They secretly yearn for a return to honest, democratic government, as most of us do.

The 'Labour Party' was hijacked by Blairites, who created a facade of 'electability'. One must acknowledge some competence in that they have been able to maintain this facade, with no substantial foundation, support or depth of structure, through two subsequent re-elections.

It is this lack of foundation and solid structure that has caused the thin edifice to finally crumble. Unfortunately, in the 9-years we have indulged them, they have effectively reduced this country to moral bancruptcy in the eyes of the world. God help us, and may they all rot in hell.

" a caravan in Derbyshire" -

" a caravan in Derbyshire" - the location of the FO is not material. The office holder is. Edward Grey (Winchester and Balliol) was a fine FS he served the longest of any FS (11 years) and didn't speak a foreign language. He only left the country once - to play golf at Le Toucquet, .... and didn't enjoy the experience by all acounts.

Mrs Beckett is merely to provide an echo to the Dear leader and do what the midget Karaoke King , My Lord Levy, the perfumed "personal envoy" that TB has installed in the FO in the office adjacent to Margaret to help her promote the policies, interests and protection of the Zionist sate of Israel. I think she does that job admirably, although she fluffs her lines sometimes.

Some call TB for his "Presidential" style. The way the Cabinet behaves it is more "Dictator" style. Nobody stands up and even heavyweights (!) like C. Clarke are dismissed effortlessly.

Presumably his plan is to upset what few Socilaists are left and therefore eliminate the Labour Party membership and then all the Craven bastards that populate the Palaces of Westminster will raid the public purse for their seedy and squalid plots against the public.

Why put up with criticism between "elections" no party members - no critics.

Who will bell the cat ? My money is on John Reid - which doesn't mean I am a fan of his, but dirty fighting is something he knows about - God help us, he is another interfering Scot, but preferable to the tax and spend! spend! spend! guy frae tha lang Toon.

Blairco killed off the

Blairco killed off the Labour Party before 97. What we have now is a zombie party.

The 'New Labour' Party wont die because it is needed to provide the illusion of choice, as with the Democratic Party in the US. It will remain moribund after the next election until voters get too pissed off with the Tories.

I dont think its capable of any independent action. Certainly not enough to get a new head, even though the present one is very decomposed and smelling to high heaven.

We'll just have to write nicely to Dick Cheney and ask him when he's got a moment in between destroying bits of the Middle East whether he could fix us up with a new PM.

The Americans probably find us rather amusing at the moment though, blundering around dropping goo on the rest of the world.

Blaming the UKs unfortunate

Blaming the UKs unfortunate position in world affairs these days on Tony Blair misses the point that he is/has been fully supported by the media, intelligence services, military, the parlimentary Labour party and the Conservative party - did anyone see Portillo on Newsnight the other day? nauseating!

Obviously when the shi'ite (sic) hits the fan he will be dropped like a rotten hot potato but the fact remains he has not done all this single handidly, and the policies won't change just because there is no Blair or no Labour party.

I am amazed at the restraint being shown by the Moslem/Arab world but this surely will not continue - Hundreds are dying every week in Gaza, Lebanon and Iraq. The vast majority (99%) are civilians. When the inevitable and violent response happens we will be back to square one.

There is no escaping the dread that lies ahead, no matter who is the 'leader'.

I know this is unrelated,

I know this is unrelated, 'cept it's them mad crazy terrorists again - but look at this story on the beeb site :-

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5242564.stm

and check out the fourth paragraph, simply unbeleivable - ok, so they are not terrorists but hey, we think they're peodophiles so it don't matter right?

in the armed forces there is

in the armed forces there is no such thing as an "accidental" discharge. its called "negligent" because in the armed forces its considered that firing your weapon accidentally at all is negligent. you either intend to the pull the trigger or the gun goes off because yuo are holding it incorrectly. the very least that happens in a negligent discharge is that the o.c of the guard post in question has to pay for it out of his own salary, that is the cost from the bullet to the investigation. if the police are to carry guns they need the same stringent rules as the armed forces have, firearms are not toys.

Anonymous @ 12:39 - I agree

Anonymous @ 12:39 - I agree with your analysis, based on the 'Ruling Elite' theory that politicians, the media, big-business, armed forces, intelligence services, etc., etc. form a self-serving, self-perpetuating conglomerate.

They will never sanction anything that might threaten their status, wealth or power, however horrendous the consequences for the planet and civilisation.

Tony Blair may not solely be to blame for "... the UK's unfortunate position in world affairs ...", but he is the one with the messiah complex, that enjoys the limelight, and therefore must suffer the brunt of the criticism.

Did no one else read last

Did no one else read last Sunday's News of the Screws? It had the 'terror-brother-kiddie-porn-shocker' story splashed all over the front page. Their inside source at the Yard is clearly still miffed that they couldn't plausibly claim the guy was shot by his own brother (something the IPCC report inadvertently confirms, since it says there were no fingerprints on the gun, and only the rozzer was wearing gloves, presumably).

If anyone can find a MSM source that points out that arresting the brothers quietly at work would have avoided the need to go in with loaded, ready to fire machine pistols (which their H&S goons might have pointed out carried a high risk of negligent discharge) I'd be pleased to see it.

Tis all very strange the

Tis all very strange the child porn allegations. The more cynical of us might think that the child porn allegations might be quietly dropped before the case ever hits a court, probably due to lack of evidence. But hey it kinda deflects from the IPCC whitewash, the suspects names is trashed and job's a good'un. Or is that just a wee bit on the cynical side.

Curiously enough the Beeb

Curiously enough the Beeb have updated the site and changed the pics now heavily featuring the shaven headed bearded bros.

The case (or what case is evident from what is known so far) appears thin.

1. No mention of credit card payments
2. The PC was accessible by several people in the house

The breathtaking speed at which the PC was forensically examined would suggest a very high profile case e.g the seizure of karaoke King Lord Levy's PC in the cash for coronets story is to be admired especially when the Police regularly complain of lack of resources to pursue these type of cases.

What about the £38,000 in

What about the £38,000 in cash that was found in the house? Personally I find the story ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,29389-2227046,00.html ) somewhat farfetched. Although it's true that Shariah law does prohibit the paying or receiving of interest, I believe there are some banks which offer accounts which provide neither.

I wouldn't be suprised to find out that one of the neighbours found out about the kiddie porn and decided to shop the brothers, using the anti-terror legislation. I'm not supporting that use of the legislation, but neither am I supporting the production or transfer of kiddie porn.
