Bush Is Crap - Says Tony
The signs are that the Labour Conference is going to be interesting this year (btw, they never got back to us about letting us be their Official Bloggers) and Tony may just be fighting for survival.
The knives are out, but will anyone have the bottle to wield them? Brown won't. He's wimped out enough times already to show us he's the spine of a lettuce.
This atmosphere is when interesting stuff begins to leak out. Here's something from No 10:
The source said: "We all feel badly let down by Bush. We thought we had persuaded him to take the Israel-Palestine situation seriously, but we were wrong. How can anyone have faith in a man of such low intellect?"
Indeed, how could Tony have so much faith, for so long? There's more
And these results are what precisely? The reason so many are so angry with Blair is that there have been no results whatsoever.
Prescott Watch
The previously linked article aslo fits in the Prescott Gaffe of the Day:
Mr Prescott, one of the Ministers who led the revolt, allegedly snapped at Lord Falconer: "Of course they f****** did, you were f****** there."
More importantly there is a story emerging on Prescott jr who just happens to run a company that indentifies land that could get planning permission.
This one is going to run...
"How can anyone have faith
"How can anyone have faith in a man of such low intellect?"
I think the clue lies in the word "faith". How can anyone put their trust in a man who thinks he can conduct a faith-based foreign policy? Even Jesus didn't advocate faith in such matters: he said "By their fruits ye shall know them". Bush's fruits are hundreds of thousands of dead civilians, cities reduced to rubble, the USA hated (or at least cordially disliked) right round the world, and the US constitution in jeopardy. Is Blair finally getting round to knowing him?

Tom. Do you mean 'him' or 'Him' ?
Looking at some recent 'mood swings' in the vicinity of the Labour Party, it may be that Sir Cliff has finally shown Tony 'The Way, The Truth and the (Travelin) Light'.
A report in the Independent yesterday suggested that Prescott would now get get a standing ovation for his suddenly acquired powers of independent thought.
Independent quoted a Labour MP as 'revealing': 'Prescott said openly what many of us have been thinking'.
This can only be a beacon from on high.
Not sure what I make of
Not sure what I make of this, but Kathleen Reardon, in The Huffington Post, reckons this is part of trial ballon floated by Republican strategists; apparently a lot of hitherto loyal Bush supporters (not just those in Downing Street) have recently been coming out and saying, 'Bush is an idiot'. She argues it's a deliberate attempt to remove the advantage the President's unpopularity might be expected to give Democrats in the mid-term elections.
She writes:
'Think about it. If selected, visible, staunch Bush supporters begin talking about how intellectually wanting the President is, with his full knowledge and collaboration (such as chewing with his mouth open, striding motorcycles, goofing around with unappreciative world leaders), there won't be an anti-Bush platform for the Democrats. In fact, if these balloonists play their cards right, it will seem as if there isn't a nickel's worth of difference between Republicans and Democrats. Everyone will be anti-Bush. The playing field will be leveled.'
It would certainly seem easier for a Republican to say, 'Bush is an idiot' than it would be for him to say, 'Bush's policies, which I've supported, have been idiotic'.
