Davide hits the nail on the head over at the Nether World.
The gulf between the fantasy world of the Bush/Blair axis and the real world is getting wider. This is particularly evident when listening to the utter drivel spouted by these leaders in their recent speeches and comparing their views with the findings of more qualified professionals and, well, just about everybody else.

"We do not accept the findings of (insert here the name of any professional commentator / serious analyst / technical expert / respected scientist / world body / public survey group that has published any document questioning any aspect of government strategy or performance) ..."
"If I do not accept it, then it cannot possibly be true."
Messianic delusion ... or what ?
