I don´t need to watch it.Shut your eyes and it could be Sky or the BBC.I´m surprised you feel it could have merit.
Seems to me just a way of keeping the hate going.Images of 911(inside job) and that.
Anyway who needs mainstream media anyway???.It´s redundant. The net has changed the way we recieve news.
Blogs like this one are changing the way we get our info.

As commodity and equity
As commodity and equity market traders we need a broad range of news from multiple sources in multiple geographies in order to do what we do.
We almost never watch TV news but we do read at least 20 on-line news sources each day.
http://english.aljazeera.net
is consistently of excellent quality and appears to be among the least prapagandist/partisan of the news sources.
Don't know about Freeview
Don't know about Freeview but it's on Sky at 514 - thankfully in the News section not lost amid International
I'm sorry to say that a
I'm sorry to say that a couple of my arab friends have already dubbed the new channel 'Aljazeera lite'. oh well, early days I suppose.
Let's just hold off on judgment until we get a story that would typically be subject to western news media bias and see how they report it. e.g. another Israeli atrocity in gaza etc.
"As commodity and equity
"As commodity and equity market traders"
oh, so you'll be the ones responsible for most of the shit that happens in the world then?
Capitalist scumbag companies and banks screwing the worlds poor countries for its minerals, coffee, cocoa and all the rest and then placing massive value on the shares of those companies for the benefit of already massively wealthy individuals and institutions in the west.
This is the world westen governments created and defend with aggressive war - poor nations being exploited by rich nations so they are effectively slave states. disgraceful.
You wont have long to wait
You wont have long to wait then!
Former al Jazeera producer
Former al Jazeera producer Afshin Rattansi runs rings around Fox News' Martha MacCallum in an interview on Fox's "Live Desk" show.
The first thing Rattansi did was point out that the English language Al Jazeera is being distributed in the United Kingdom by Fox News' parent company. Probably not the way the boss's memo said the interview should start.
It's worth reading the whole post.
