Army Cutbacks Will bite

This is tantamount to criminally negligence when you stop the training of troops whose activities are dangerous. I've had a good rant about this myself.

There's just no words for this. Apparently we can afford Trident, but not critical training for our most skilled soldiers who have the unenviable job of fighting Blair's dirty little wars.

Sorry. I understand now. Silly me:

Parachute Regiment = Best of British.
Trident = Lockheed Martin, and American profits.

And we all know how Tony and friends do their sums, don't we?

There are times when I think to myself, there is little else this stupid, irresponsible, lickspittle American poodle party can do to damage the countries current and future well being. Oh God, how can I be so wrong, these rose tinted specs the lovers of Labour are wearing are beginning to look that way because they were dipped in the blood of the innocents of Iraq, and now our own once proud and respected armed forces. I am at a pure loss to find a single glimmer of rationality for these decisions. It is the case that empirical evidence is presented day after day showing the absolute and current necessity for a viable military ground force to support the lies and delusions of a clearly mentally deranged Prime Minister. Why then can they somehow demand the reduction of the means required to maintain this force whilst at the same time 'assuring' Britains security by buying Trident. The obvious differences between the two are that the forces can point their weapons at a known enemy and do something about it, we cannot say the same for our nuclear option, we can't point them at anybody, we can put them in little boats and take them on little cruises, little else.
Does anyone know how to force a general election please. If there were a way then I would be pleased to be a part of the organization of it.

I don't buy this story. It's a fix. I hate to say it, but why should we fall for this managed nonsense?

There's plenty of other things the MoD can economize on. All they've done is picked some very indefensible cuts, wrote them up into a very bad plan, and leaked it to the papers. Either the Treasury has to cough up all the money that has been requested, or they have to go in to the MoD and micro-manage the cuts.

Civil servants know of a million different ways to not cooperate with something they don't want to do, and get away with it. It's their ultimate weapon. Like malicious compliance.

Don't understand why Army Recruitment hasn't set up a Polish office in Gdansk or Warsaw, or done a deal with Brook Street Bureau (Poznan) or Top Temps (Poland) Ltd.

I foresee some ads like, 'No Asda chicken gibleting experience? Then there's a job waiting for you in HM Forces!'

One interesting thing was Hitler's total stupidity and lack of knowledge about the Russian T-series tank manufacture in Siberia...I wonder if the West somehow thinks the Russians have no navy as alot of ships are rusting at Murmansk...how many more state of the art stealth (the Russians always mimick US advances) battle submarines / cruisers are hidden away in barns ready to be launched at a moments notice...

The War he foresaw leads me to a perverse smile....yes, Monaco, Switzerland and The Vatican (wealthy Christian Playgrounds) can be taken and Gibraltar avoided at very little effort...and will have the effect of diverting NATO movements to the Med.....whereupon Russia begins it's tactical assault...
