It'll soon be time to be holding a long awaited party.

List of Arrests: Lord Levy

List of Arrests:
Lord Levy twice

More serious this time.

Bunting ready. But will we?

Bunting ready. But will we? Teflon Tony has an cast-iron(to mix my metal-phors) belief in a) himself and b) himself. Maybe its time for a high-powered patsy to take the fall for him?

Power mad politicians cling on to power surrounded by sycophants. I hope and pray Tony's still in power on may 3rd.

I wonder if Levy's second

I wonder if Levy's second arrest is anything to do with that convenient fire that destroyed his papers? A charge for arson, that'll do nicely!

Perhaps, but I'm more

Perhaps, but I'm more inclined to think it has to do with the secret e-mail system shenanigans

If this nails Tony, he will

If this nails Tony, he will be going down on a mere technicality.
I prefer to keep chanting between gritted teeth:
"war crimes....war crimes....

Fine by me, given the

Fine by me, given the tub-thumping about closing the loopholes that allow criminals to get off on a technicality.

Ken, I'm with you. I want to

Ken, I'm with you. I want to write "WAR CRIMINAL" and "MURDERER" on his tombstone. Hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later.

One more thing, and

One more thing, and followers of Bitolics {conjunction} will of course know this, but here we go anyway...

When 'Our Tone' appeared on The Politics Show, he refused to answer Q's relating to the NuSleaze probe. So what's the point in interviewing him if he isn't going to answer the Q's that people want asking of him?

Of course, we know he goes on these 'interviews' so that he can answer the questions he would have liked to have asked, or, if none are forthcoming, he will completely ignore the actual questions and give some answer[sic] to that very question which he wishes he was asked. The sleazy murdering ragamuffin; Incidently, a title that can be equally well bestowed upon the nasty perv who follows him.

Please replace the word 'he' above with 'it' for a more precise commentary. Thank you.

So up I gets this morning,

So up I gets this morning, expecting to see the Levy Arrest Part Deux all over the news, but instead....

Birmingham Terror Arrests! Be afraid, be very afraid, and look at all these wonderful shots of cars and vans being towed away, over and over and over...

I mean the timing is just soooooo good, doncha think? Could it be...gasp!...that they're messing around wid da meeja? That Crusher Reid swooped into action on behalf of Tone and Levy, just to bump the Levy arrest down the reporting food chain (thus making it invisible, ie no shots of Levy's previous collar-fingering or any other embarassing footage from yesterday)?

Who wants to play my game? - any takers?

And what are the odds that this turns out to have been a premature move against the suspects, and that there aint no bombs, weapons, materials etc?

The Frank Field school of

The Frank Field school of spin....

Me too, but I have to admit

Me too, but I have to admit that I'd settle for the humiliation of being forced to resign by a shipload of panicing rats (ie the Cabinet) after being interviewed under caution; and then being having his integrity shredded in the witness box when Levy goes down.

But I have to say I'm becoming more and more optimistic that some worm is going to drop him in it: as the realisation sinks in that perverting the course of justice means jail time not just resignation and a fine (conveniently paid by some donor) and a new job in a think tank.

To make a second arrest for perverting the course of justice after the outrage over the first tells me two things about Yates: 1) he has cojones; 2) he's convinced he's not going to have egg on his face for going down this route.

Hmmm - seems that the plot

Hmmm - seems that the plot involved a kidnapping and then a beheading... surely this could of been handled by the police / scotland yard preventative crime unit ? why is it considered terrorism ? If I plan to kidnap someone its not considered a terrorist act - maybe all crime is terrorism these days ?

As usual the BBC is pandering to a well orchestrated show of theatre by number 10
- best start a war at the same time for added effect.....

If it's emulating terrorist

If it's emulating terrorist acts (e.g. kidnapping as part of a terrorist strategy, to change policy by fear) then, yes, it's terrorism and it's also influenced by Iraq, which is a bit contrary to Tony's ideas

If it's kidnapping for monetary gain, then it isn't, it's crime.

Either way, it's a bit early to say. One thing we know is that 'sources said' is a broken reed to rely on when seeking the truth.

I giggled like a school girl

I giggled like a school girl when i heard this story.

It'll be over when the fat

It'll be over when the fat Lordy sings.

Silly Bob Hope!! You should

Silly Bob Hope!! You should know that any crime can be "terrorism" when it suits the state's book! That's the genius of England's laws...drafted by the best there is!

Captain Swing may be on to

Captain Swing may be on to something : the Old Bill getting closer to putting their hands on Anthony Charles Lynton Blair's collar and lo and behold a terrorism arrest just in the nick of time.

Actually, the phenomenon would be worthy of deeper analysis, and also a bit further afield. For instance, has anyone noticed how often there seems to be a terrorist attack in Israel everytime the Israelis come under pressure to start negotiating seriously with the Palestinians? Cf yesterday's suicide bomber in Eilat.....Or else Israeli troops zap a few Palestinians (preferably civilians) so as to make it impossible for the latter to proceed with talks.

Yes John Dory it is

Yes John Dory it is interesting indeed although we really do not know if the Eliat incident was a suicide bomber or not ( I am not saying it was not! )
I think the best recent illustration of this phenomenon was the
liquid bombs business which occured at a time when the alternative axis of evil, i.e the governments of USA, UK and Israel were taking a lot of flak about Israeli atrocities in Lebanon - caution advised, very distressing images.

You've forgotten Jack

You've forgotten Jack McConnell, MSP. Questioned by police on 15 December 2006.
