Police and Intelligence

The last time the worlds of police and intelligence collided we were left with a dead Brazillian.
Now an equally disturbing story has come to light. MI5 fingered Chief Superintendent Ali Dizaei as a terrorist and the Met began a three year investigation of him that cost 3 million quid. Additionally he says they also investigated members of the National Black Police Association. The first extract from his book is online.

He's actually in charge of the police around where I live, and it's quite reassuring to know we've got the only senior officer in the Met who is cast iron 100% straight. As such, he's worth listening to.
Doesn't this imply that
Doesn't this imply that there is a 5th column within the laughingly called 'intelligence services'. Like forest gate, ricin, Canary Wharf 9-11 thwarting, liquid bomb plot foiling, I'm predicting this one to be another load of manipulation!
Who's agree? - Islam and muslims are being targetted - unfairly.
Better be careful here, but from a widely read knowledge of all this, one must wonder if it is in some way meant to be seen as polarising?? Lets wait and see.

Well if you could get arrested for being a prize tosser Dizaei would be it. He was the bloke who said, among other things, his fellow muslims don't report crimes because they don't like police stations. No-one does mate, they're police stations.
Was there any evidence that
Was there any evidence that Ali Dizaei was a terrorist? If so, now that the investigation has been dropped and we know that any such evidence was wrong, misleading, or wrongly interpreted, should it not be published in full? That way we can see (and perhaps sympathize with) the difficult task our anti-terrorist lads are up against.
Or was he investigated just because he is a Muslim?

Straight? You ahve to be
Straight? You ahve to be joking, this is easily the most corrupt copper in British History, the Met had him bang to rights, but where told to drop all charges by the home office. The man was recorded (yes, recorded, on tape) threatening to kill one of his mistresses, it wasnt an idle threat, it was 'i know people' kind of threat, it was real, he also tried to pervert the course of justice to avoid taking responsibility for crashing his car, and his tendency to recieve 'kindness' from the local community was legendary.
The man is a crook, and if he was not 'non white', would have been booted out the police years ago, and most likely be locked up.

I recently attended a security intelligence brief delivered by special branch to a reservist military organisation.
After an hour I came away feeling that they just want us to report everything that we see every muslim doing.
Pathetic.
