The Legacy

Tony's been assuring us that his legacy will last, but strangely didn't mention:
Iraq and leaving his party with a record low in membership and on the verge of bankruptcy.

I recommend this blog to those who have not yet seen it.
One can take any field of economic and social life, listen to the practitioners, and see how cash and energy have been wasted on ill-conceived "reforms".
A retired brit copper told me the other day how he and 10 other 'oldies' cleaned up a suburb, liasing with local associations etc, and when they'd achieved visible results, were re-located to the young man's job of busting drug-houses. The suburb reverted after they left.
He had also the interesting experience of being bollocked for not meeting a target of arrests...
On PFI , pension funding, and other scams, the well known Trotskyite organ Accountancy Age is withering.
Looks like the Blair Legacy, even without Iraq, is in safe hands.
There's a pattern here -
There's a pattern here - I've got a story in the pipeline about the junior doctor scandal, which is stamped out of the same material as all the other NHS idiocy and indeed quite a lot of other idiocy. While we're on the subject, which party said:
and
Yes, it's the Tories. I don't believe them, obviously (it's the Tories, ffs), but it's interesting that they think that pushing a media line of freeing up professionals from governemnt micromanagement is a vote-winner (the two quotes are from Cameron and Chris Grayling, the shadow transport wallah, who's actually reasonably clued up - watch this space).
This is a great new parlour
This is a great new parlour game, 'Blair's Legacy': Iraq Leaving his party with a record low in membership and on the verge of bankruptcy Destroying the Union with England and breaking up the UK
Blunder Blair's legacy will
Blunder Blair's legacy will be "judged in the long term" apparently. Like Bush's. Blair cites "reducing NHS waiting times, building more schools and tackling anti-social behaviour". Intresting choice of words, *reducing* waiting times but only *tackling* anti-social behaviour. So by Blair's own estimation, reducing NHS waiting times and building more schools (as opposed to raising educational standards and access) are his greatest acheiments. Hardly the stuff of history is it?
Even Afghanistan which just a few short years ago was the great success legitimising doing Iraq next gets no mention
Poor Tony, if he wasn't such bloodsoaked warmongering
scum I might fell sorry for him.
Blair's a bloody twat. No
Blair's a bloody twat. No brains, only cunning. In all his years of office he's done nothing intelligent. He's fixated on the celebrity culture and the tabloids. Talk about the dumbing-down of politics! No wonder so many intelligent folk don't bother to vote anymore.
but tony blair hasnt dumbed
but tony blair hasnt dumbed down politicsq! the guy is a political genius which is why he's still in power and he's achieved that by doing exactly what he's needed to do - it wasn't about dumbing down or spinning or anything, it was all about doing the right thing at the right time to keep him in power. people often confuse politics with governance, and that's what blair is rubbish at. he should perhaps be chairman of the labour party not the leader because he can't govern to save his life but he always beats his opponents and stays in power. who else but blair would manage to hang on a couple more years just by saying he was going to leave in a couple of years. masterstroke. bet thatch wishes she'd done that when the poll tax got too much for her in 1990.
Blair is leaving the Labour
Blair is leaving the Labour Party in Scotland in historic shambles (see http://1820.org.uk )
When Levy stuff kicks in next week its going to be hilarious.
