7/7 Inquiry Campaign - an update

Rachel North has posted a detailed update on the campaign for an inquiry into the July 7 bombings, together with a damning account of what has been discovered do far, and asks three vital questions:
Could the bombers have been stopped?
Have lessons been learned?
Are we any safer now than we were on 7th July 2005?

On the same morning of the attacks, there was training going on at the same locations in the event that this type of thing could happen. Fact! Same time same places. By making some key choices years ago it could have been avoided, but many wouldn't have reaped the rewards of an economy in a sustained war, which is what brought us to where we are today. Surely Gordon the Super Chancellor accounted for this? After all it happens approximately every 25 years.
Lessons have been learnt. Do not trust your Government.
No we are still overseas pissing people off, so how are we safer. In fact the ones preaching about the "threat" are the complete cause and effect. I hold no grudges against any creed. My Government continuously warn me about measures being taken for terrorism by religious groups of related countries they are invading. What's to be expected.
