Well, he was given a good, non-proletarian education by his champagne-Marxisant father, Ralph (Adolphe) Miliband. But apart from that? Has the man ever done a real job of work outside politics? And inside politics - 2 years at Environment and a short time in that evermore undemanding task which is the Foreign Secretaryship (instructions care of Washington DC).
