Intelligent Debate

By far the most intelligent debate on the subject of the Craig Murray Telegrams can be found at the Website of Brian Barder, a career diplomat and civil servant who resigned from SIAC in slightly less dramatic circumstances, but for equally principled reasons.

Brian doesn't agree with Craig's position, or actions on this, but unlike most of the wingnuts out there, he makes his points coherently without personal slurs or insults.

The debate continues, and passions are getting inflamed.

Essentially, Brian appears to be making a pragmatic, systemic counter to Craig's position. I don't agree with him, I think his arguments are missing the point about what Craig has done, how and why.
But I do respect his opinion, based on his record as much as anything else, and as one of the few posts I have read where someone makes an attempt at an intelligent debate, rather than some of the crap Craig has been receiving, it is a thread well worth following.
