Question for Tony Blair

Is God telling you to launch military action against Iran?
I asked this through his contact form on the Number 10 website. I'll let you know the answer.
Question for Labour party members:
Should going to war be a decision for parliament or one man's religious delusions? It's an important question because if it's down to Tony's spiritual inclinations, by definition there is no room for democracy.
Blair is completely off his
Blair is completely off his head. I am so angry that this man has caused so much misery and then has the arrogance to go on TV and say that God is guiding him. Can nothing be done about him? If he is suffering from some sort of delusional psychosis then he should be sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Seeing him talking about God on the news tonight reminded me of murderers who say they heard voices telling them to do it. He is either ill or he is completely arrogant and is saying that he personally receives messages from God telling him that he was right to invade Iraq. Either way, it means that we are certainly not living in a democracy!
There are good people, there
There are good people, there are also bad people, But it takes religion to make a good person bad!
Didn't Peter Sutcliffe try
Didn't Peter Sutcliffe try this defense?
I killed 13 women and tried to kill 7 more because God told me to clear the streets of prostitutes
Is this so different?
Sutcliffe ended up in Broadmoor; Blair, with significantly more blood on his hands, will end up in World Bank/IMF/UN - probably with a fucking peace prize under his belt.
At least, for the first time since he came to power, he has spoken the truth.
The question is why?
Why now and for what benefit?
as far as i know there are
as far as i know there are only three dempocracies with secular constitutions and they are France, USA and India. Correct me if I am wrong. Both USA and India are religious although the last seems to be more tolerant of pluralism and less proselytising than USA. EU countries, including the UK, have largely secular societies. So all this hookum about talking to god doesn't wash - export blair-booth to US. I buy the Hindu outlook which sees the world as god, ungendered and left to imagination, and the world is its peoples, buddhism is an essentially secular religion, however oxymorononic that may sound, and was a reformist movement - i digress but the point is devotion is the way we live our lives not praying to a gendered entity divorced from the world's peoples to excuse wrongdoings - hey can we use some common sense and turf out these party hacks - if 70m people can't get that act together we are in deep shit
unfortunately Blair

It's spin
It's spin
Campbell set this up a long time ago when he said "We don't do religion". That set up a story that could be used at any time in an emergency. Bliar has managed to displace the Jowell stories and has gained some sort of control over the agenda.
I wonder if this story is hiding some other story?
What Blair actually said is interesting because he's distancing himself from his own decision. He blames other people. He actually says that other people make the decision. Then he blames God. No blame on little Tony there.
You may be aware that Bliar is a Catholic-Protestant, that there are stories of him attending Catholic confessional which I think are generally accepted. Now Bliar visited the Pope - God's representative on Earth - before attacking Eye-raq. So how was God telling the Bliar to go to war when his representative on Earth was telling him not to?
we are the poop et cos we
we are the poop et cos we got blair's god that we didn't know we were electing - this is all such a messy poo bahhhh!!!!!!!

Dear Mr. Blair,
I've noticed that you say that you prayed to God in order to decide whether to invade Iraq.
I was wondering have you prayed to God over other important decisions you have made, for example, ID cards, 90-days detention and outlawing the "Glorification of terrorism"?
