How Very New Labour! *UPDATED*

The blair apologists at Bloggers 4 Labour have got fed up of people (or in thier words 'idiots') challenging their view, or asking them to justify themselves or the Blair government's policies towards Iran, Uzbekistan etc.
They have decided to silence their critics:

In general, though: if people I don't know posts something that is neither relevant, nor constructive, nor even humorous, then it'll be deleted as valueless, a waste of my bandwidth, and a waste of readers' time.

What can be more relevent that asking Bloggers 4 Labour to justify their parties politics? I can almost see Mandelson giving them a pat on the back...

Why answer your critics when, hey presto! you can simply delete them?

Shame the questions don't go away though, that's the flaw in this otherwise cunning plan!

UPDATE:
It only seems fair to give B4L's response here rather than letting it languish in the comments.

You forgot to cite this:

I've decided to keep all comments that were added to that particular page [the one your post linked to], if only to stop them spilling over onto other pages, but remove variations that turned up elsewhere.

Perhaps it was the power of your rhetoric, but trolls directed to B4L from your site decided to take time out from their homework to post moronic comments on completely unrelated posts. I zapped them all with pleasure.

BlairWatch's approach has been thoroughly juvenile, bearing all the hallmarks of enraged obsessives, so why should I invest my few moments of free time with proper responses (i.e. that would pass muster on serious-minded blogs), especially for people who seriously seem to believe that
(a) anything bad that happens in the world can be channelled down from Bush to Blair to NuLab to Labour to ordinary Labour members, and
(b) that the absence of a direct criticism from B4L on any issue constitutes a grovelling approval?

Ultimately, whatever good points you have on your side, you end up looking ridiculous.
Ask me sensibly, however, and (in time) you'll get an answer.

Judge for yourself, if your comment is censored there, then feel free here.

As Samuel Johnson said "I

As Samuel Johnson said "I hate a fellow whom pride, or cowardice, or laziness drives into a corner, and who does nothing when he is there but sit and growl; let him come out as I do, and bark."

Only those who have no breadth or perspective of view are unwilling to have their views challenged. Like their glorious leader, the Bliar - Princess Toni (pbuh), they and they alone KNOW what is RIGHT, and anyone who has any other view must be WRONG.

Brooking no challenge is the mark of the totalitarian which is where this government is heading pell mell.

Well, the definition of

Well, the definition of trolling is debatable; the comment they cite as "...idiotic commenters posting things like this..." seems extremely informed, valid, and incisive to me.

You used the only weapon

You used the only weapon that New Labour fears, rational logic and debate.

They don't like it when you do that. Naughty Blairwatch!

we've been told to stand in

we've been told to stand in a corner and be quiet until WMD are found.

if only to stop them spilling over onto other pages...

Well that plan seems to have failed if we are discussing it here, and probably on other blogs. Thats what happens when you try to stifle debate. B4L might silence us on their site but the issues will not go away. As you say, How very New Labour.

And so you should,

And so you should, quarsan.

Hello, people. Uncle Beastly here, back from holiday. I see you've been busy and naughty in the mean time, which I look forward to catching up on. Nice to see bloggers4labour getting off the ground, it's getting awfully hard to find anyone these days willing to defend Mr. Blair so it's good to be able to welcome them to the real world.

I decided to venture over to

I decided to venture over to the belly of the internet's New Labour beast the other day, I have to say, the Blairite #apologists are nothing, if not inconsistent. First they claim that they want a factual argument, when you give them a factual argument, they want a moral argument, when they have received both arguments, and cannot reply, they revert to their sheep like existence in the heart of the New Labour sleaze machine.
